Founders Marco Marrero and María Díaz began their journey in 1990, opening their first atelier in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife, where they created custom-made garments. A few years later, they brought Marco & María to life, joining Tenerife Moda — the island's fashion industry promotion collective — marking the beginning of their international expansion.
Unlike mass production processes, every Marco & María piece is designed and crafted with the utmost artisanal precision in their own workshop in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, made by a team of professionals and artisans who have been with the house since the beginning. This passion for quality, artisanal craftsmanship, and the careful selection of unique fabrics and textures defines the brand's identity — every gown carries the certified labels "Designed in Spain" and "Made in Spain," guaranteeing its origin and production process.
