Born in Casablanca, Cyril Verdavainne grew up immersed in the vibrant colors, rich textures, and cultural tapestry of Morocco before training at Parsons School of Design in both Paris and New York. Early apprenticeships at Balmain and Thierry Mugler instilled an architectural precision and couture discipline, while fifteen years as right-hand designer to Carmen Marc Valvo honed his mastery of American eveningwear. In 2018, he opened his own Manhattan atelier, founding Verdavainne as a destination for bespoke, handcrafted luxury.
Every Verdavainne gown is born from an intimate, made-to-measure experience. Cyril insists on personal body measurements for each client, ensuring a fit as singular as the woman herself. He sources exquisite European fabrics and employs a bold color palette inspired by the unlikely harmonies of his Moroccan heritage. Draping, structural corsetry, and meticulous hand-finishing distinguish each creation.
Featured on Hertrove, Verdavainne's couture pieces are carried by Saks Fifth Avenue and sought-after specialty boutiques nationwide. His gowns are crafted for women attending international galas, prestigious award ceremonies, and exclusive black-tie celebrations who desire something fearlessly elegant.
